Mission Statement

The mission statement of Deeper Waters Christian Ministries is based upon Acts 1:8:

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Also Matthew 28:18-20:

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,! 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth! 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, EVEN to the end of the age.' Amen."

Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Deeper Waters Christian Ministries, desires to minister to those in “our” Jerusalem which is the surrounding communities within Oregon. All of our ministries are aimed to further the love of God through the loving hands of Jesus. Our desire is to go where we have never gone until we reach the ends of the earth and have reached every person in our generation.

Deeper Waters Christian Ministries was established with the express intention of fulfilling the commission that Christ put forth to His disciples in the Book of Acts. Our mission is to empower those whom we serve to live victoriously as Disciples of Christ and to love and serve Him with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength regardless of sexual identity or sexual orientation. We desire to know God and make God known. We endeavor to participate in the life of each person: encouraging spiritual growth, providing quality academic instruction through the Word of God, maintaining a safe environment and offering social and emotional support to all who cross our paths.

Our highest priority is to encourage our peers to develop a close personal relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. We will accomplish this through an emphasis on studying the word of God systematically verse by verse and by reading and memorizing God's Word (Romans 10:17), encouraging joyful worship (Rev. 4:11), and demonstrating earnest prayer (I Thes. 5:17).

In summary, it is our aim to equip the saints for ministry (Eph. 4:12) and to reach our generation for the sake of the gospel.
